On Autism Awareness Day, the Pushpa Khanna Memorial Centre, in collaboration with the Academy of Pediatrics, Kanpur, hosted a heartwarming and insightful event aimed at amplifying autistic voices.
Eminent guests including Dr. Yashwant Rao (Chief Guest & Professor, Department of Pediatrics, GSVM Kanpur), Dr. Roli Srivastava (President, AOP Kanpur), Dr. Amitesh Yadav (Secretary, AOP Kanpur), and Ms. Ruma Chaturvedi (Director, PKMC) engaged in impactful conversations with parents and therapists. The discussions focused on fostering awareness, promoting acceptance, and celebrating neurodiversity.
Participants also experienced the thoughtfully curated Lukka Chuppi Sensory Booth, designed to provide insight into sensory processing challenges.
To commemorate the day, blue balloons were released—symbolizing solidarity, empathy, and inclusion within the autism community.
